Sun Safety — Perse Hats and Caps Now Compulsory for Pelican and Junior Students

As part of our ongoing commitment to sun safety, we are writing to let you know that Perse bucket hats or caps will become a compulsory uniform item for all Pelican and Junior students from Term 1, August 2026.

Students are already required to wear a hat or cap during outdoor play, and this change simply ensures that what they wear is consistent with our school uniform — helping all children stay protected from the sun while looking smart and unified as a school community.

What you need to do:
Please ensure your child has a Perse bucket hat or cap ready for the start of Term 1 in August 2026. These are available for purchase through our uniform supplier, Bibi & Baba:

Parent Workshop
Raising Future Ready Kids was a great success!

On 10 June, we were pleased to host a parent workshop in partnership with Focus on the Family Singapore. We were privileged to welcome Mr Joshua Liong, an experienced speaker and trainer who specialises in youth, sexuality, marriage and parenting.

The workshop equipped parents with practical tips and strategies for approaching conversations about sexual education, love and relationships with their children in an age-appropriate and confident manner. Through engaging group discussions and realistic scenarios, participating parents explored ways to foster open communication, respond thoughtfully to difficult questions, and guide their children in developing a healthy understanding of relationships, respect, boundaries and emotional wellbeing. The session also provided a supportive space for parents to reflect, exchange perspectives and learn from one another as they considered how best to support their children through the complexities of growing up.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all parents who took part, both in person and online. Your willingness to engage in these important conversations and invest in your parenting journey reflects the strong partnership between home and school that we deeply value at The Perse Singapore.
