The term draws to a close and all are looking forward to the break to spend time with families and friends. School terms are busy and productive and so it is very important that all have time to reset and discover and experience new and existing interests. For young people it cannot be overestimated just how much sleep they require to develop, and holidays provide opportunities for all to relax.
Although in Senior School there will be annual examinations coming up next term these are merely a stepping stone on the way to their graduation and not a cause for anxiety. They are an opportunity for all to evaluate their progress and work during the year and begin to develop study methods which suit each person. Above all balance is important and sitting and staring at pages for an hour is usually counterproductive and so all students should be planning out their time ensuring they have bitesize periods for revision and catch up during the holiday interspersed with plenty of sleep, time for relaxation and rest, as well as sport!
For our younger students reading is a great way to develop their minds, vocabulary and concentration levels as well as being great fun! We encourage all to spend time reading.
I wish all our community a wonderful break from school and look forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday 14th April.
Yours faithfully,
Lynne Oldfield

Caia Chew from Year 3 and Saoirse Flanagan from Year 8 performed on stage at the St. Patrick’s Day Street Festival in Boat Quay, dancing a traditional Irish step dance. Saoirse also danced at the St Patricks Society Ball. Both girls dance at the Irish Inspirational Dance School. We are so proud to see our students sharing their talents and celebrating Irish culture with the wider community.
Our Under 12 boys football team won 5-0 against SAIS! What an amazing feat! Well done!
