Last Monday marked a very special moment in the history of our school, as we played our first ever friendly basketball match. Our mixed U12 and U14 Boys Basketball team travelled to the International French School (IFS) to face the IFS U14 Boys team in what was an exciting and valuable experience for all involved.

The difference in age and height between the teams was evident and had an impact on the final result. However, our players approached the game with great determination and maturity, competing strongly in many aspects of the match and showing excellent teamwork throughout. Despite it being the first time many of them had played together as a team, they produced moments of very high-quality basketball and demonstrated fantastic potential on the court.

The effort, commitment and positive attitude shown by our players made us incredibly proud. They supported one another from start to finish, displaying great sportsmanship, resilience and teamwork; values that are at the heart of The Perse School Singapore community.

It was a fantastic afternoon full of learning opportunities and an important first step in building a competitive team for future competitions. Congratulations to all the players for representing the school with such enthusiasm and dedication.
